Peek and Snipe
This
tactic is very useful in single player and can really save your life in
Perfect Agent. It involves three steps:
1.
Peek out from behind a wall using the C-Left or C-Right buttons.
2.
Let go of these buttons and go back behind the wall. You should now hear
the enemies bullets start flying by.
3.
Go out and rush the guards with guns blazing while they sit and wait, painfully
reloading their guns.
The Lure
When
you have guards piling up or you enter a situation where enemies surround
you, run away to a better place. This way, you can lure the guards into
a trap or a more favourable situation for you.
Objects
This
trick requires the use of, well, objects! Things like tables, crates, and
other things can become your best friends in the solo missions because
they will shield you from bullets. If you want this tactic to become even
more useful, be sure to take advantage of the Peek and Snipe method. Just
make sure the object doesn't explode!
Penetrating Weapons
Nothing
feels better than killing an enemy before he even sees you. Using penetrating
weapons, you can pump bullets through doors or in the case of explosives,
even walls. Wondering what the penetrating weapons are? Check out the list
below:
1.
DY357 Magnum
2.
DY357-LX
3.
Callisto NTG (High Impact Shells)
4.
Farsight XR-20
5.
Any explosive weapon
Crouching
Want
to increase the aim of your weapon and have a lesser chance of being hit?
Crouching is what you want. Double crouching will give you even better
aim and allows you access to small passageways and vents.
Fist Fight!
When
you have a large group of enemies all packed together, sometimes the best
course of action, if you don't have explosives, is to charge at them with
fists flying. As long as you have switched to Disarm, you will probably
recieve little or no damage while grabbing their weapons. Once they are
all unarmed, pull out a gun and take out the resistant guards. The others
can just be knocked out (to save ammo).
Motion Blur
From
time to time, you'll run into an enemy who carries a Tranquilizer or N-Bomb,
and will give you motion blur. It is caused to disorient and confuse the
player. Obviously you don't want this, and want to get rid of it as soon
as possible. Unfortunately, you can't wait it out so you must run around
to wear it off. If you haven't experienced much motion blur and want to
see how much a weapon will give you, look at this list:
Low
Amount: Repeated punching, pistol whipping,
or nerve gas.
Medium
Amount: Tranquilizers, Poison Knife, Crossbow,
or Radioactive areas
Very
High Amount: N-Bombs
Speed
If you need some speed to
run away, chase someone, or otherwise, strafing is the best thing you can
do. Continuous strafing gradually builds up your speed until it peaks at
a certain point, and you go three times faster than a non-strafer.
Shields
Shields can sometimes make
the difference between living and dying because theygive you an extra bar
of health, essentially giving you two lives. One thing to remember: When
you see a shield, grab it!
Proxy Mines
Proximity Mines in the solo
missions will always come in handy. The only reason they are there is to
help you out, like the shields, so always use them when you get them.
Burst Fire
Going trigger happy in the
missions isn't the smartest thing to do. As an alternative, try using short
controlled bursts. That way, you'll make less noise and conserve ammo,
which is a necessity in Perfect Agent.
Reload... Now!
One of the worst possible
scenarios you can get is when you confront a horde of guards and find that
you only have one bullet in your clip! To prevent this from happening again,
you'll want to manually reload your weapon before you move on. That way,
you'll atleast have a fighting chance if you go up against a horde of enemies.
Damage
Location, location, location!
Where the bullets hit really does count, especially in Perfect Agent. Refer
to this list to see where to aim your bullets for damage.
Head: 100% Damage
Body: 30-50% Damage
Limb: 15-25% Damage
Other: (Gun hit) N/A
